Movement Based Learning
Movement Re-education therapy incorporates Brain Gym® exercises, Neurological Reorganization (NR) techniques, and Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT) to work toward organized and integrated whole brain learning and to improve academic achievement. Neurological Reorganization (NR) is a movement based therapy used to build connections in the brain and improve function of neurological processes. NR is comprised of specific movements that are designed to treat the brain, rather then focusing in the symptoms. These techniques are based on the works of Pioneer Glenn Doman, founder of the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential.
Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT) is a movement based, primitive reflex integration program, used to restore balance and improve function in the neurological system. I utilize various techniques, exercises and activities such as: Re-patterning, Building Block Activities, Rhythmic Movement Training, Sensory Integration Techniques, and Craniosacral Therapy.
NR and RMT have been effective in treating children and adults with ADHD/ADD, autism, cerebral palsy, speech disorders, genetic disorders, learning disorders, and developmental delays.
